Ministries at Shechinah
At
Shechinah we believe God has wired everyone with the ability to fit
in his family somewhere. Part of
that “fitting” is being able to serve others in a way that you
thoroughly enjoy. So, we
try to match people up with their gifts and dreams in order to do the
work of the church.
Luckily, we don’t have a pastor or an elder that does all the pastoral
work. Everybody’s a minister
here!
So
what kind of dream has God put in you heart for the church?
Get involved with the PROCESS classes and start your journey in
ministry! Click on the Ministry Name below for more information on the
specific ministry. Some of these teams are dormant or empty at the
moment, but the dream may be picked up by somebody else someday.
OR...a brand new dream may be born. How can we help?
Currently
this ministry is being led by Marty, but we have some great
dreams
and visions for the worship at Shechinah in the future.
We are also starting to see some great leaders emerge in this
ministry...
As
our children grow in this skewed misled environment of the world,
we must reach them to follow the ways of Jesus. We must seek to be
led by His will and guidance, leading His children into His arms and
allowing none to stray. As our children are tempted to succumb
to the disillusioned ways of this world, we must act as their loving
family, training them in a safe, loving and righteous environment.
We’re seeking to be a refuge for teens built on Christ’s
love.
We want to be family-based and we want to value the power
of connections and relationships with other people. We want to go
on this exploration to find out what is the best way to live life.
DID YOU KNOW the first 2-3 minutes of a person’s arrival
are the most crucial to the development of their impression of ANY
establishment?
Shechinah is able to serve an
incredible amount of people who have temporary needs, showing them
the love of Christ and serving others through the abundance that God
has given us.
We enjoy helping people stay connected to the body of
Christ. If we are able to keep one person connected or encouraged
simply by hearing a friendly, smiling voice on the other end of a
telephone line – it’s worth every moment!
We strive to establish and maintain relationships through sports and outdoor activities. We currently play basketball, softball, and enjoy river-rafting and
water-skiing.
We try to meet the many needs
of the church that are essential to the body taking care of each other. We also want to use our ministry to reach out to people who wonder
if the church is “all it’s cut out to be.”
The
words of Jesus pierce our hearts and our checkbooks. We want
to make sure that the treasure of the church lies in making the
world a better place.

There is
incredible power in prayer. Our ministry tries to harness that
power and use it in powerful ways for God.
We love to pray so
that we might be empowered to care for others and display the glory
of God.
HOW CAN I GET INVOLVED?

classes and these will take you through the correct procedure of getting
